In 2012-2013, with the support of dedicated workers and an innovative approach, we ESTABLISHED PRAGATI SALT (INDIA) PRIVATE LIMITED, a 180000 MT per annum capacity Salt Refining Unit which was again FIRST OF ITS KIND BEING THE ONLY VERTICAL SALT REFINERY in NORTH INDIA as a whole.
There were already many Salt Refining units successfully running here by then, BUT none of them was able to remove GRIT/STONES from the salt as it was an unavoidable part of the Raw material that we procure (due to natural extraction of Salt from Mud/Grit Beds)
We took it as a challenge and after enormous research and investment we came up with the solution called DESTONNER which was ultimately recognised by HONOURABLE SALT COMMISSIONER, GOVT of INDIA and he gave it a space in his annual magazine.
Nawa's salt, produced with the help of Down the Hole Borwell is unique as it is free from contamination and impurities LIKE MICRO PLASTICS, OIL and OTHER IMPURITIES FOUND IN SEA SALT. The city's salt has become a valuable commodity, maintaining its purity and quality, setting it apart from other varieties."
Later in year 2019 we started manufacturing DFS- Double Fortified Salt which has both Pottassium Iodate (Iodine) and Encapsulated Ferrous Fumerate (Iron), a step to eradicate Iron Deficiency Diseases and later in the year 2020 just before the onset of Covid-19, we forayed into Rock Salt and Black Salt. And we can proudly say that today "BANDHAN ROCK SALT and BANDHAN BLACK SALT" is one of the most revered brand for the same.
